The way Hollywood treats females within the industry <\/a>may be shifting. At the very least, many high profile names within the business claim they will no longer be complicit by turning a blind eye and not speaking out against claims of sexual harassment. With the fall of Harvey Weinstein, keeping quiet about alleged abuses of power, once deemed the norm within the industry, is no longer an option. The floodgates have been opened now that the media mogul has been brought down. The support amongst actors, musicians and celebrities has been overwhelming to such an extent that victims across all industries are finally feeling comfortable enough to speak out publicly about their heinous experiences at hands of those taking advantage of their positions of power.<\/p>\n

Since 2015, we\u2019ve seen a push to call out alleged abusers such Bill Cosby, Roger Ailes and Bill O\u2019Reilly with considerable success and coverage on the media. However, the public outcry in response to the Weinstein scandal was exponentially louder and probably due in large part to some of the leading ladies in Hollywood accusing Weinstein as their abuser. Powerhouse names such Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Ashley Judd are just a few that stepped forward with their claims. This watershed moment prompted other women in entertainment to turn to social media or media outlets to publicly denounce their abusers.
